Eileen Fielding,
Executive Director of the Farmington River Watershed Association,
has joined the board of Rivers Alliance. Though Ms. Fielding hails
from Massachusetts, much of her career has been with Connecticut
nonprofits, including Connecticut Audubon, where she was statewide
director of education; the New London County Soil and Water
Conservation District; the Science Center of Eastern Connecticut;
and the Children’s Museum of Hartford. In addition to her extensive
experience in environmental nonprofits, she has an academic
background that includes a doctorate in ecology for research on the
niche preferences of freshwater fishes. She has taught at several
colleges and universities, including UConn, Wesleyan, Trinity, St.
Joseph College, and the University of Chicago. We are all delighted
to welcome both Mr. Anthony and Ms. Fielding aboard.
